Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
TAJ Real Estate is a trading style of TQRE Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13648831). Our registered office is 2nd Floor Berkeley Square House, Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London W1J 6BD. In this policy, “TAJ”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean TQRE Ltd.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration number [ADD ICO NUMBER].
2. About this policy
This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you:
- visit our website, https://taj-re.co.uk, or use our online valuation tool;
- buy, sell, let, rent or invest in property through us, in the UK or overseas;
- use our property management services as a landlord or tenant;
- contact us, attend one of our events, or apply for a job with us.
We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Our use of cookies is explained separately in our Cookie Policy.
3. The personal data we collect
What we collect depends on how you deal with us. It may include:
- Identity and contact details — name, title, address, email, phone number, date of birth.
- Verification documents — passport, driving licence, proof of address and, where required, proof of funds, source of wealth and right to rent documents.
- Property details — the property you own, are selling, letting or looking for, your requirements and budget, and viewing feedback.
- Financial details — bank details for rent, deposits and payments, mortgage or funding position, and income and employment details for tenant referencing.
- Tenancy and management records — tenancy agreements, deposit registration, inventories, maintenance requests, safety certificates and correspondence.
- Online and technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and how you use our website, collected through cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Communications — emails, messages, live chat transcripts, and notes or recordings of calls, where we tell you a call is recorded.
- Marketing preferences — whether you want to hear from us and how.
- Job applicant data — CV, employment history, qualifications and references.
Where we get it from. Mostly from you: by phone, email, our website forms, in our office or at viewings. We may also receive data from property portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla, from buyers’ or sellers’ solicitors, mortgage brokers and other agents, from referencing and identity-check providers, from credit reference agencies, and from public sources such as HM Land Registry and Companies House.
Special category data. We do not usually need sensitive data, such as health information. If you tell us about a disability or health need, for example so we can make a viewing accessible, we will only use it for that purpose and with your consent.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This won’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
If you do not give us data we need for a legal or contractual reason, such as ID for anti-money laundering checks, we may not be able to act for you.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. Referencing providers may use automated scoring, but a person reviews the outcome before a decision is made.
5. Who we share your data with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only where needed to provide our services, meet legal duties or protect our rights:
- Parties to your transaction — buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants (only what they need), solicitors and conveyancers, mortgage brokers, surveyors and other agents in a chain.
- Property portals — Rightmove, Zoopla and similar, when we market your property.
- Service providers acting for us — our property CRM and email systems, client money and payment platforms, referencing and identity-check providers, our online valuation provider, website hosting, live chat and IT support, contractors who carry out repairs, inventory clerks, and our accountants. They may only use your data on our instructions.
- Deposit protection — the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) or another approved scheme.
- Regulators and redress bodies — The Property Ombudsman (TPO), our client money protection scheme provider, Propertymark (NAEA) and the ICO, when needed for complaints or audits.
- Authorities — HMRC, the police, the National Crime Agency, local councils and the courts, where the law requires it, for example reporting suspected money laundering.
- Professional advisers and insurers — lawyers, auditors and insurers.
- Business changes — a buyer or successor if all or part of our business is sold or reorganised.
International transfers. TAJ Real Estate is part of an international group with offices in Jordan, Türkiye, Qatar, Spain and the UAE. If you enquire about overseas property, or ask us to introduce you to a group office, we may share your details with the relevant office or overseas agent. Some of our service providers may also store data outside the UK.
When data leaves the UK, we make sure it is protected — for example, by sending it only to countries the UK recognises as having adequate protection, or by using the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact us for a copy of the safeguards we use.

7. How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, password and two-factor protection, encryption where appropriate, secure document storage, and staff training on data protection and confidentiality. Our service providers must protect your data to the same standard.
No website or system is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will tell you and the ICO as the law requires.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data, unless we must keep it by law (for example, anti-money laundering records).
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Objection — object to our use of your data based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Portability — ask for data you gave us in a commonly used electronic format.
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent.
To use any of these rights, email info@taj-re.co.uk. We may ask you to confirm your identity. There is usually no charge, and we will reply within one month (this can be extended in complex cases, and we will tell you if so).
